Waggin’ Train Jerky Treats Poison Thousands of Dogs!

Dog-food-recalls-illnessesThe Food and Drug Administration has recorded over 1,000 dogs food poisoned from jerky pet treats from China. The affected brands include Waggin’ Train and Canyon Creek Ranch produced by Nestle Purina Pet Care Co., and Milo’s Kitchen Home-style Dog Treats, produced by the Del Monte Corp. Data imported by the firm ImportGenius showed such treats coming from JOC Great Wall Corp. LTD of Nanjing, China.

The problem has logged over 900 reports of pet illnesses and fatalities since November and is warning owners about on going problems from chicken jerky strips, treats and nuggets.

Both manufacturers have claimed the treats are safe and illnesses and deaths are unrelated to the products.
